Their story started like a fairy tale. Sociology and social work professor Marin Henderson-Posther and men’s soccer head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt met as kids growing up in Michigan. Now rooted in Portland with three children, they haven’t set their careers aside. Working across campus from each other has strengthened them as parents and mentors.

On April 30, at approximately 4:46 p.m., Portland Fire & Rescue (PF&R) responded to a residential fire in the University Park Neighborhood on North Yale Street. The fire began inside an exterior shed and spread toward two homes. An unknown number of occupants have been displaced from one of the homes, according to a PF&R X post.
